Welcome to Year 2

NOTICEBOARD:

What a fantastic year it has been! We have all loved working with the children in Year 2 and know they will be brilliant in Year 3.

Smart watches, for example the VTECH smart watch MUST NOT be worn in school. We do, however, encourage the children to wear appropriate watches to school - analogue or simple digital watches.

Final 7 days of term:

Monday 15th - Wear PE kit

Tuesday 16th - Wear normal school uniform, both classes have a cube jar treat in the afternoon.

Wednesday 17th - Wear normal school uniform

Thursday 18th - Wear PE kit, the children will have time during the morning with their Year 3 class teachers

Friday 19th - Wear normal school uniform

Monday 22nd - Mrs Morrison as normal - Wear PE kit

Tuesday 23rd - Wear normal school uniform, Mrs Morrison is working in Class 2 (Miss Walker worked on Monday 1st July). School closes at 13:20.

Have a wonderful summer everyone! We have all thoroughly enjoyed working with the children this year.

In English, the children will complete poetry activities using poems from the anthology 'Message from the Moon'.

Our spelling rule for the week: Words ending with -tion

In Maths, the children will see what happens when they try to divide 0, they will divide numbers by 1 and themselves and learn about position and direction.

In Science, the children will tell us all the things they will need to grow into a healthy adult and then look at how the school habitat has changed from Autumn.

In Computing, the children will finish their presenting information unit.
