Our spelling rule for the week: adding the suffix -ed to one syllable words.  The children will use the rule double the last letter then add -ed to words with a short vowel sound and one consonant (pat - patted,  shop - shopped) or just add -ing to words with a long voewl sound or a short vowel followed by 2 consonants (play - played, flock - flocked).  See the spelling shed tab for a parent's guide and link to the spellng shed website.

In Maths, the children will finish their fractions unit.  They will find two quarters and three quarters of shapes, lengths, quantities and sets, recognise the equivalence of one half and three quarters and develop their counting in 3s.

In History, the children will finish learning about how people kept themselves safe during World War 2 and will learn about why rationing was needed.

In DT, the children will create a paper template for their glove puppet.
