Week beginning: Monday 9th February - Children's Mental Health Week

Monday - Wear normal school uniform.

Tuesday - Wear PE kit for inside PE (curling). Miss Walker has some parents evening appointments today.

Wednesday - Wear PE kit for outside PE and it is parents evenining.

Thursday - Wear normal school uniform, green house show and tell and it is parents evenining.

Friday - Wear what you want day for children's mental health, donations to Visyon.  School closes for half term at 3:20pm.

Note the day change for PE.  Our PE days are now Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

English - The children will act out with stick puppets and write their own, independent, alternative ending to the story, Zog.

Reading - Reading groups will continue this week.  Please return reading books on Tuesday, new reading books will be sent home on Thursday.

Maths - The children will partition (split) odd and even numbers and partition the numbers 6-10 in different ways.

Science - The children will identify the properties of plastic when it is used in different ways.

PSHE - The children will learn about the theme of children's mental health week - this is my place - and will draw their land with the things in it which make them feel they belong.

Safer Internet Day - The children will answer the question 'Are smart speakers magic?', they will learn about how to stay safe when using smart speakers and will write a question to ask a smart speaker.

Computing - The children will learn that data is information that can be collected and used.

Inside PE is gymnastics this half term

Outside PE is target games.

Art - The children will evaluate their Zog sculptures.

Geography - The children will learn about the 4 countries of the UK (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales).

RE - The children will answer the Key Question: Was it always easy for Jesus to show friendship?
