Week beginning: Monday 26th January

Monday - Wear normal school uniform.

Tuesday - Wear PE kit for inside PE.

Wednesday - Class 1 cube jar treat.  Class 1a wear PE kit for outdoor PE, Class 1 wear PE kit or normal school uniform and bring a change of clothes for cube jar treat, if you want to. 

Thursday - Wear normal school uniform, red house show and tell.

Friday - Wear normal school uniform.

Note the day change for PE.  Our PE days are now Tuesday and Wednesday.

 

English - The children will order pictures and retell the story, Zog, une the conjunction 'and' to join sentences together, generate iseas for an alternative ending to Zog and create a shared story plan for an alternative ending.

Reading - Reading groups will continue this week.  Please return reading books on Tuesday, new reading books will be sent home on Thursday.

Maths - The children will represent the numbers 6 to 10 using the '5 and a bit' structure, compare two numbers using greater than and less than, identify the whole and parts of the numbers 6 to 10 and identify how 6, 7, 8 and 9 lie between 5 and 10 on a number line.

Science - The children will label materials with their properties.

PSHE - The children will discuss the things that help them to fall asleep and get a good nights sleep.

DT - The children will work in small groups to complete their bridge design with a wide, flat base which is stable.  Please see the email sent requesting junk modelling materials.

Computing - The children will use criteria to sort items in different ways using purple mash.

Inside PE is gymnastics this half term and outside PE is target games.

Art - The children will start their drawing unit of work.

Geography - The children will learn about the 4 countries of the UK (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales).

RE - The children will answer the Key Question: Was it always easy for Jesus to show friendship?
