Week beginning 14th September
Please make sure your child has a waterproof coat at school every day. We do go outside in light rain.
On Monday we have our allotment sessions. Please come to school in suitable outdoor clothing and a waterproof coat.
As the school photographs are being taken on Wednesday, please send your child to school in school uniform. We will not be doing football this week.
English: Narrative
Revising expanded noun phrases. Thinking about the monsters Mr Filkins met and describing our own imaginary monsters and writing poems about them.
Reading
Please support your child on their reading journey by listening to them read their school book as much as possible, and by sharing other books - whether its cuddling up for a bedtime story, listening to an audio book on a car journey or discussing favourite authors over tea.
The children on colour-band books will be given the opportunity to change their reading books on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, please ensure that these are in school EVERY DAY as they may be asked to read to an adult at any time.

Spelling
We will continue to assess the children's spelling this week.
Maths: Adding and Subtracting across 10
Adding and subtracting by bridging through 10, subtracting small numbers, solving problems involving addition and subtraction.
Science: Animals Including Humans
Food groups
Geography: Dry Deserts
Climate zones, biomes and vegetation belts. The location of different deserts around the world.
PE:
Please ensure long hair is tied back and earrings are removed.
