Next week in Year 3
Week beginning 20th April
English: Recount
We will be analysing examples of news reports and identifying the features of this genre. We will then be writing a recount of the discovery of an ancient Egyptian tomb.
Reading
Please support your child on their reading journey by listening to them read their school book as much as possible, and by sharing other books - whether its cuddling up for a bedtime story, listening to an audio book on a car journey or discussing favourite authors over tea.
The children's reading books will be collected in on Wednesday and sent home on Thursdays. However, please ensure that these are in school EVERY DAY as they may be asked to read to an adult at any time.
Our class reading book is 'Elizabeth and the Box of Colours' by Katherine Woodfine
