Week 24 in Class R

Class: Reception Year: 2022 - 2023

Good afternoon everyone!

This week has been a little quieter than last week, but still lots of fun!

We have spent the week looking at all things Zog. In literacy, we have been writing about Zog, our trip to the theatre and thinking about people who help us like in Zog and the flying doctors.

In maths this week, we have looked at doubling. The children have really got a good idea of what doubling is. They have learnt that when a number has 2 equal parts it is a double. We have been using our stem sentences to help with this, e.g. 1 is a part and 1 is a part. Double 1 is 2.

In gymastics this week, the children were excited to practise their travelling and safe landing skills.

On Friday, we had Red Nose Day. The children looked great in their red outfits. To finish off our week with Zog, we have been looking at people who help us. We looked at how nurses help us and what jobs they do. We also had a visit from a paramedic. She talked to us about what types of jobs she goes to, what can be found in the ambulance and we had a look at her different uniforms.

We've had a great show and tell this week, from lemurs to lego!

Next week's show and tell is the blue group.

Have a great weekend !
