Wednesday afternoon - the classes will be taught by Mrs Hill & Mrs Collis while Miss Walker & Mrs Williams have PPA time.

Monday - Wear PE kit for Athletics outside

Tuesday - Wear normal school uniform, class 2 only can bring a toy and/or soft toy for their cube jar treat

Wednesday - Wear normal school uniform

Thursday - Wear PE kit

Friday - Wear normal school uniform

Don't forget coats and water bottles every day!

In English, we will read a new story 'Little Red'. The children will order the story and then retell the story.

Our spelling rule for the week: adding the suffix -ing to words ending in 'e' - drop the e then add -ing (bake - baking, place - placing). See the spelling shed tab for a parent's guide and link to the spellng shed website.

In Maths, the children will recognise the value of coins, add coins to find the total, make a set amount in a variety of ways and add amounts (£ or p).

In Science, the children will use their cress experiments to generate conclusions on what plants need to grow well. They will also sort different seeds using visual characteristics.

In Art, the children will start to create a piece of work for the Holmes Chapel 80th anniversary of D-Day commemoration.

In PSHE, the children will understand that a person's skills and interests make them suited to doing a job.

In PE, the children will practise their athletics skills in preparation for sports day.

In RE, the children will start their unit of work learning about Islam. They will work to answer the Key Question: Does going to a Mosque give Muslims a sense of belonging?
