Summer week 8

Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022

This week we have continued to learn about tigers. We have been writing about Augustus frim our story and where he visitied. We have also learned facts about tigers, where they come from, what they eat, how the move and camoflage themselves. The children were really fascinated by this and were great with their knowledge of other big cats.

On Monday, we had our class photo and the children were all very smiley and well behaved. Miss Wootton was very sad to not be in them, but unfortunately had a poorly child at home, meanng she couldn't pop in. You should have received your proof image today. Orders need to be laced by the 4th July.

In maths, we have been learning about ‘teen numbers. Lots of counting past 10 and using 10 frames to represent numbers.

The children have been working hard preparing for sports day in a few weeks. They have mastered the flat racing and this week we had a go at the sack race. We’re also planning a novelty race with our Year 6 buddies.

On Thursday, our buddies came down to help us make some very special cards and we all enjoyed a play and a read in the sunshine after.

Blue group are invited to bring a special item from home into school for show and tell on Friday.

Have a lovely weekend. We’ll see you all on Monday.
