Reading

Stuck what book to give your child next?

Below is some useful information to help!

Here are some of Mr. Lavin's Top Tips!

  • Remember the Classics (There is a reason they have been popular for so long and you will find great enjoyment sharing one of your favourite stories from The Golden, Olden Days!)
  • Find a Favourite Author (Many children like to collect things - why not collect the titles of an author they particularly like? I was mad on exotic animals as a child, so the globe-trotting adventures of Hal and Roger Hunt in the stories by Willard Price were perfect for me!)
  • Make Poetry a Passion (For some children, reading a whole novel can be quite daunting but dipping into anthologies of poems can serve as a wonderful smorgasbord! )
