World Book Day – 20^th Anniversary - Week beginning the 27^th February including Dress Up as Your Favourite Harry Potter or Magical / Mystery Story Character on 28^th February

During week beginning 27^th February, we will be celebrating 20 Years of World Book Day. Our theme for the week in school will be Harry Potter / Magical and Mystery, deliberately broad to enable us to cater appropriately for all year groups. On Tuesday 28th February ‘Bookman’, the world’s latest Book Superhero, is visiting us. After a dramatic arrival during assembly, Bookman will lead exciting workshops, with each year group throughout the day, bringing books to life through a range of exciting activities. We are inviting the children to dress up as a character from either Harry Potter or a magical or mystery book of their choice for this day.

We are sure that this will be a fun and engaging day and one that will further promote a lifelong love for reading. Other activities will be taking place throughout this week- details to follow shortly.
